The Winter Farm Box
Twelve Saturdays of good eating. Our greens and Kelly Ridge pasture-raised pork in one box, every other Saturday from October straight through March. When there's nothing else fresh and local to be had around here, there's this.
What's in the box
Enough for two or three suppers for a household of one or two.
2 lb pork
A pound of sausage and a pound of ground, raised on pasture at Kelly Ridge Farms. Lamb sometimes, when they've got it.
Butter lettuce
Living, roots still on, so it holds a good week in the fridge instead of wilting in three days.
3 bags of greens
Collards, Asian greens, and kale or chard on rotation. Cold weather sweetens all of them.
A recipe card
Written fresh each week for exactly what's in your box. Nothing fancy and nothing that needs a special trip to the store.
You bring the onions, butter, cheese and spices. We bring the good part.

Pickup is at our table at the Abingdon Farmers Market. First and third Saturday of the month, October through March.

Three ways to pay
Cash or check, made out to Wyndale Gardens LLC. We don't run cards.
Pay for the season
All twelve boxes up front, and it saves you thirty dollars.
Three payments
$140 when you sign up, $135 on December 5, $135 on February 6.
Box by box
$75 down covers your first two boxes, then $35 at each pickup.
All three buy the same twelve boxes.
Reserve your spot
Fill this out and we'll hold a spot for you. Then bring cash or a check to our market table, or mail a check to the farm.
- Your spot isn't held until payment lands. We go in the order payments come in.
- Pickup only at the Abingdon Farmers Market. We don't deliver or ship.
- Miss a Saturday? Call or text and we'll hold your box for the next market, or send a friend to grab it. We can't refund a box that never got picked up.
- Weather closes the market now and then. We'll email you and your box moves to the next date.

The pork comes from Kelly Ridge
Dylan and Justen raise their hogs out on pasture just up the road from us. We've eaten a lot of it and we wouldn't put it in a box with our name on it otherwise.

Questions people ask
What if I can't make a Saturday?
Call or text us and we'll hold your box until the next market, or you can send a friend to pick it up. We just can't refund a box that never got collected. Two of us pack these by hand and the food is already cut and bagged by Saturday morning.
Do you deliver?
No. Pickup at the Abingdon Farmers Market only. We tried delivery when we were supplying grocery stores and the labor ate the whole margin. Keeping it to one pickup spot is how we can do this at a fair price with just the two of us.
What if there's a green I don't care for?
Tell us when you sign up and we'll swap it for something else. There's a line on the form for it. You can also just tell us at the table any Saturday.
Can I start partway through the season?
Yes, as long as spots are left. We'll prorate what's remaining. You get whatever boxes are still ahead of you at the same per-box price.
What happens if the market closes for weather?
We email you and your box moves to the next scheduled date. Nobody loses a box over a snowstorm.
How do I pay?
Cash or check only, made out to Wyndale Gardens LLC. Pay at our market table or mail a check to 18069 Wyndale Road, Abingdon, VA 24210. We don't run cards, which is part of how we keep the price where it is.
Can I add extras to my box?
Any pickup, first come first served. Our Signature Blend salad dressing is $25 a bottle, Tumbling Creek apple cider vinegar is $10, and Kelly Ridge bacon is market price. Just ask us at the table.
